I never claimed to be an expert in the history of Haiti, but I did explicitly couple those two factors in the same sentence. I don’t think it’s accurate or productive to attribute the condition of the country to solely one factor, but I definitely agree that there has been a great deal of corruption in the Haitian government. If you would like to expand on the topic that you think I should be researching, I welcome your input.
